In 2005 a strategic decision was taken by EC to provide Electronic Manufacturing
Services ( EMS ) from a base in Eastern Europe.
As a result, EC Electronics SRL, a wholly- owned, fully operational ISO 9001:2008
approved subsidiary, began operations in the summer of 2006.
The operation works to internationally recognised IPC standards and provides a
full range of Electronics Manufacturing Services from factory premises based in
Petrosani, Romania.
For suitable applications, with batch sizes of 300 - 400 upward, UK OEM's can
typically enjoy savings of between 20 - 40% on our UK labour rates via our
Romanian service.

For high volume standard product, we have strategic partnerships in place with a
small number of specially selected suppliers with manufacturing faclities in the Far
East.
Summary :
Our established Romanian service, together with careful selection of strategic
partners from the Far East, enables us to offer significant and sustainable cost
savings to UK OEM’s, whose volume requirements may justify manufacturing
offshore.
